Dingy Harry gets around it by attaching it to an unrelated bill. He then calls it "an excellent compromise" in spite of the fact that no changes were made.

http://www.techdirt.com/articles/2011052...mise.shtml

Quote:Perhaps the most ridiculous part of all of this is that one of the reasons why they're saying this needs to be rushed through is that the bill itself needs to be flown to Europe so that the President (who is visiting Europe) can sign it.

These are the people running our lives.

This must make a lefty's head assplode.

A Senator finally tried to filibuster the Patriot Act. And that Senator was Teapublican Rand Paul.

Even more telling: Rand Paul's filibuster was defeated by a parliamentary maneuver by Democratic Leader Harry Reid.

Let the left chew on that for a while.

This will pretty much solidify the end of the regime Reid and Pelosi put in place. Changing of the guard once again.

Anyone think Jack Conway (Rand's Kentucky opponent last year) would have done this?
